Life shouldn’t be complicated. For a successful and fulfilling life you just need to listen to your intuition and then act.
Our brains have two hemispheres:
-
The left side handles organized, intellectual knowledge. In the left-brain, language is the organizing principle.
-
The right side deals with abstract, subjective concepts that cannot be expressed with words.
When you ask yourself, “What should I do now?” your left-brain immediately offers a list of suggestions, with pros and cons for every item. Also the right hemisphere of your brain goes to work. It offers solutions based on an amazing pool of abstract, subjective (and vital) information. And yet, you are probably not consciously aware of it. For most of us, the process of thinking is based on words.
The right side of the brain cannot express itself with words because that’s not how data is stored there. So the right brain offers solutions through emotions. And this is where intuition comes into play. Intuition is a sub-conscious process that handles abstract, subjective information stored in the right side of the brain.
The hard part is listening to your intuition. Next time you have an issue to deal with, do you know how to listen to your intuition to find the right solution? First you need to listen to your still quiet voice inside your head.
Your first thoughts might not look like the right solution; maybe it just doesn’t feel right, or there is something missing. So your first thoughts may not be crystal clear. What you need to do is listen some more.
The act of listening sometimes requires patience, but at least when you are listening you feel like you’re doing something positive to find a solution to the issue you have.
What we are looking for is our sub-conscious spirit to give us the answers to any questions we have. For the answers to be forthcoming, you need peace and quiet for contemplation.
If you have a dilemma or a problem to solve, you need to take time-out and listen to your intuition. Find a quiet place, sit in a comfortable chair, with good posture, close your eyes and blank everything out of your mind. Quiet thoughts and ideas will come to you. Some will be noise and chatter; some will be worth listening to for more information.
Learning how to listen to your intuition only takes a few minutes a day, and daily practice of quiet time and listening will bring great rewards. The longer you do it, the better you’ll become at listening.
You end up learning the difference between the good information and the “noise” in your mind which is just chatter. Deep in your spirit is the answer for every problem life can throw at you.
Remember, life shouldn’t be complicated. Rule number one: recognize that quiet time, listening to your intuition, is crucial for your problem solving ability. Rule number two: when the answer comes, move quickly forward and act on your intuition.
